h3rpd3rp Awesome sound, a wonderful and notable talent amongst all the musicians on the album, and it's delightful to have something from someone close to home. Great album! Definitely the newest staple in my iPod!! Favorite track: Janie's Jam.

about

"'Take no prisoners' - that's
what they should have called it,
at least on the basis of the break
neck tempo bop tune "The
Twelfth Helix", written, as are the
rest, by well-known pianist Dave
Restivo. But then the pacing
relaxes into the pensive ''Village
Nights" - one of those magic
compositions that has a theme
that plays itself. Such a nimble,
yet intense touch on "Left at
Tim's" and "Red Wren Sang at
'U'"! The key to it all may be
the track "Egberto", referring,
of course, to guitaristlpianist
Egberto Gismonti, master of
mood and rhythm. this is a good,
nay great album, featuring top shelf
Canadian artists, and highly
recommended. (Radioland)"
